>> I don't know if I texted you. Uh, last week I gave a poker lesson to a couple uh Air Force generals, and one guy that's going to work at NASA. Um, and we were talking. There was a lady there named Blair Bigalow who um who owns an aerospace company and she had never played poker before and she started playing and it reminded me of this speech that Jenny Just gave at the summit.

>> And Blair is actually more used to risk than most women. Um, but she was talking about how it's just so useful for... it's like poker is a great tool for women to just get in and get the feel of doing risky things. You know, it's something men have been doing since we were little boys a lot more than girls.

>> Listen, these guys, they really did for my 60th birthday. I had to admit I'm that old. They gave me clothes that fit from wall to wall.

>> We spent money on it. I know.

>> And then JCal took you down to some boutique and bought you some special outfit. Remember that? We walk down to some boutique in the...

>> But you have to understand why I got them that tracksuit. What I did was we were at a poker game and this website like GoFundMe had come out whatever number of years ago and I was like, "Oh that's an interesting idea, GoFundMe."

>> I think the best part of this is that it was not his birthday and there we sang him happy birthday. His birthday is a month later and there was a guest there who it was his actual birthday watching us celebrate your not birthday. That's true.

>> What do you say to your sons before you give them $60,000 worth of clothes? Are you like, "My buddy bought me a new wardrobe and I don't want it and this is for you."

>> He said, "My buddies bought all these clothes for me. Stupid idiots."

>> Hold up. You guys spent 60k buying clothes.

>> So, this shirt is one of the shirts you guys bought for me.

>> It looks like you kept some of it. It's AllSaints. I mean, I do wear some of it.

>> I actually paid to wear logos. I do. I get paid to wear logos.

>> He gets paid to wear logos.

>> No, no. I swear to God, I'm at the home game and I see this GoFundMe page. like, "Hey, invest in our company, whatever." I was like, "I don't know. Crowdfunding, whatever." So, I'm like, "I'm trying it out." I'm like, "What should I do?" And I'm like, "Well, Phil Hellmuth is wearing a tracksuit that literally has tears in it. It's so old. It's like fraying."

>> So, I just put up a "help fund a new tracksuit for Phil H." I took a picture of his fraying, you know, classic Adidas tracksuit. And instantly $2,000 comes in from the poker community.

>> Wow. 50 different people are like, "Absolutely, that tracksuit smells."

>> That is something that benefits all of us is to put him in a new tracksuit.

>> Chamath, take us behind your brilliant play.

>> Well, I will tell you because I don't really care that much to hold it back, but Phil will never play a three street hand. So you have to figure out the mechanics that gets him most of the chips in in a two street hand.

>> Oh wow.

>> So you check. Now you reduce it to a two street hand. You min bet the turn. Sometimes he'll pop you.

>> I almost popped.

>> No. No. Hellmuth has this very specific thing where he just will not play three street hands.

>> Right. Right.

>> I've noticed that. Yeah. Keeps it small. He likes to keep it small.

>> I think fundamentally there's two types. One person looks for reasons to fold and one person looks for reasons to call. Right.

>> You and I are opposites on that.

>> I'm definitely the person who looks for reasons to call. For sure. Uh-huh.

>> You brought up Jenny Just who spoke at the... who's amazing. Like she's uh...

>> She started poker. She started... I want to get this right. She started Poker Power. She's educated 400,000 women on how to play poker. She goes all over the country.

>> Pretty legendary.

>> Yeah. And then they have like a thousand women show up.

>> We have her at every all-in.

>> She's amazing.

>> I was really excited. I was like, you know, this lady's so into poker like nobody knows who I am but somebody that into poker may and she's awesome. So I walked up to her and she was just like, "Who are you?" Like I mean... nice and humbling.

>> I love to tease her husband, Jenny Just's husband, because her husband's like, "She is the Michael Jordan of trading."

>> Of trading. Yeah. Yeah.

>> No one even knew. No one knew she was a billionaire.

>> I think you guys' pod has done a great job growing the game too. I wonder how many people are playing poker now just because of the pod.

>> There's poker groups that are popping up in the Bay because...

>> Oh, man. Several thousand? I think... Yeah. A way underestimation.

>> Yeah, that's at least a couple hundred thousand people have come in because of these guys.

>> If we launch an All-In tournament series with you as our adviser, our top adviser and then Keating as our second most important adviser, what would you guys advise us to do?

>> I'd say we need professional... for any amount he wants basically. He's the biggest influencer in the game.

>> Look, everybody, one thing that I would say is tournaments right now, in my opinion, it's like they're herding cattle into a farm. In my opinion, like players are kind of treated like, "You guys will do whatever we want you to do because we know you will." So they just kind of treat the mainstream player pretty bad in tournament stops. So I think like starting earlier, having a nice lunch break, letting them go home at a decent time rather than just like...

>> This is why you like Triton. Is Triton different?

>> Triton plays late, but they give you a super ultra like VIP experience. I still wish that they would shut things down earlier, but those guys don't really work like that. They just play all day every day and at the end of the day you have to cater to what they want.

>> We want to do the most elite poker tournament ever with the highest end. So, would poker players... would poker players be willing to pay to play in a tournament, to play in an elite kind of environment?

>> Yes, I think absolutely. I think even professional poker players, they lean towards good experiences. They go to venues that make them happy when they wake up and grab breakfast or take a walk outside. Like a few of the stops that you play internationally, they feel like poker prison. It's like the only thing that exists is a poker. You just get depressed. Like, "Why am I here? I don't want to be here." So, I think have it at a great venue where there's stuff for people to do outside of poker. Have reasonable hours for the tournament. Make it more experience-based than just poker. Like, so people are actually enjoying themselves.

>> I would say that these guys and us, we all like two-day tournaments. Like, let's get the final table on day two.

>> Every Triton tournament is a two-day tournament, right?

>> My biggest issue with tournaments is there's too much skill involved. I'd like to figure out a way where it's more luck, you know.

>> Tough table, huh?

>> Yeah, actually Phil's busted. I'll take his seat.

>> Pleasure to meet you.

>> So you have no involvement in any poker scene at this point in your life at all?

>> Not until today.

>> Not until today. It's so interesting.

>> Molly's return. Molly's return to poker. This is like the version two of the movie.

>> We went to Carbone last night and Alan got in a fist fight with the guy at our table.

>> And they were like, they were like, "I will beat your ass. I will beat your ass. Let's go outside right now."

>> And I was in between the two of them and then there was reaching across the table and...

>> I don't know if it was legit like you guys were going to throw...

>> They were going to throw down but we invited him outside.

>> We're not going to talk about what triggered it.

>> I was just going to say it must be political.

>> It was politics.

>> And Alan just said, "Listen, step... comments. You disrespect me. There's a lot of... kick your ass." And he just on the table. And the guy started apologizing. He did like a half an apology. I've already forgotten it. But it was cool that you guys hung out.

>> We talked this morning.

>> Did you hear the end of the story?

>> So they went out to... We all went out to the barber shop club afterwards. I left them at the club alone and they were hanging out and now they're best friends.

>> Now they're best friends.

>> Oh, you... So, it was your friend?

>> Yeah, it was my friend.

>> Oh, that's stressful.

>> Stu Ungar. Dude, wasn't his whole thing like very non-conventional play, Phil?

>> Stu. Stu could play super super super fast and...

>> But he was like very creative. Played every hand. Very great.

>> Played every hand. Super creative. Lived on his reads like a complete legend. And like he might have been the greatest of all time. Won the main event three times, but I think he ran into some issues with like, you know, unfortunately...

>> It was drugs or something.

>> Yeah, drugs. Drugs took him down.

>> But you ever play with him?

>> Yeah, I played with them a bunch.

>> You guys want to hear something interesting about Stu?

>> Okay. So, at age 15, he was the best gin player in the world. And so, he had a bunch of guys that were connected that would have him at 15 go all over the east coast and make all this money playing gin. And at one point he finished in the top four in the world backgammon championships, was the best gin player in the world. No one played him. And was the best hold'em player in the world. All at the same time. That's Stu Ungar.

>> But I think, you know, unfortunately cocaine...

>> It's a hell of a drug.

>> Stu is playing high stakes poker, but he's watching from behind. Chip Reese, who's another legend, is playing gin. But Chip has his hands face up. And Stu is sitting behind him. And then Chip turned to Stu and said, "Did you like that fold?" And Stu said, "No, no, no." So Stu's at another table playing high stakes poker. Stu's like, "No, no, that was a bad move." And then, "Three turns ago that was a bad move." And then, "Three games ago that was a bad move." And everybody's like, "What?"

>> My grandfather had... he was a great card player, but as he got older the gap widened and he had ended up gambling all of his money away at the Detroit Athletic Club and the rumor was that Stu and some of his people were the winners of his money.

>> They took your grandfather's money.

>> He gambled it away to Stu in gin or poker or what?

>> Gin.

>> Phil Hellmuth out first. This is what we live for, folks. Phil losing a tournament. Going out first. The world's greatest tournament player loses to Alan Keating the Wild Man. He can't even beat a person who plays 2-4 offsuit.

>> This is incredible, folks. What a turn of events. Hellmuth busted first.

>> A documentary came out this week and Keating's talking about like he doesn't like tournaments.

>> Yes. Because... he busted me like it's nothing.
